TIL Same species trees in forest roots are connected to each other via a fungal network called a mycorrhizal network. Trees use these networks to communicate, share resources, help the sick trees etc. Fungal networks do all this work for trees in return for a share in food.

Some trees tried using an HMO,
but they ultimately starved to death.
Seems internet is not something new!
