TIL T.E. Lawrence, also known as Lawrence of Arabia died in a motorcycle accident in 1935. Lawrence had a sinister reputation in France during his lifetime and even today as an implacable “enemy of France”, the man who was constantly stirring up the Syrians to rebel against French rule in the 1920s.
