You mean Walmart has built all their stores so they’re within 10 miles of 90% of the population.
You’d find McDonalds would be pretty similar.
Today I remembered: people that don’t live in cities forget most people live in cities.
I am finally part of the 10%.
My FIL lives out in the middle of nowhere there’s literally no cell service and the only thing within 15 mins is a gas station and a shop and save. 30 mins to the Walmart and McDonalds. Not my idea of a great location to live but he’s happy there.
11.5 for me
I’m from that 10%, and we have 7 Dollar Generals now
Damn, that must be a crowded community.
Actual distance or driving distance? It’s a pain in the ass driving to my nearest Walmart.
So?
There is something authentic Americana reading Sam Walton’s biography. He was authentic in the early days. But it is funny how you can see the small variety store policies are what have morphed into the awful labor practices there now.
For example, Sam Walton used to use airplanes to scout out where a store should be, quite novel for that time. But he couldn’t stand paying a pilot to be on stand by, so when he was flown to a Walmart location, he would make pilots do inventory while they weren’t flying.

I guess I’m one of them and still… I’ve never been in a Walmart.
I’m within 10 miles of 2 Walmarts if you count the Neighborhood Market
Product placement
That must be one really busy Walmart store!
Hell yea brother
Wow I’m in the 10% of the population by just three miles.
I’m part of the 10% that lives farther away. 20 miles or more for me.
And 90% of Canada lives within 100 miles of the US.
