TIL: That an Alberta Firehall has a safe box to anonymously surrender babies that is heated bassinet and has a silent alarm to alert once it’s closed.

This makes me so happy they’re coming to Canada. They’re called Safe haven boxes!! They prevent tragedies from occurring like the girl in new mexico who was just arrested for throwing her baby in the dumpster! I’m a HUGE supporter of these
Sad but it gives the baby a chance at life
This is interesting. For one I’m happy that these children will be surrendered to a safe area.
I thought this was just a common thing at fire halls. But then again, I’m from Alberta.
