If you count all the animals that number is actually way higher
The first “reason” presented to me for turning vegetarian that I might actually consider.
Not really the setting I’d choose for such an operation, but okay

There’s mostly immigrant labor in those plants. I’d bet a lot of them are patched up by the company nurse and sent home for the day.
