TIL that autopsy performed on Martin Luther King Jr. after his assassination revealed that his heart was in the condition of a 60-year-old man rather than that of a 39-year-old such as King, which was believed to be a result of the stress of King’s 13 years in the civil rights movement.

If anyone is interested in other interesting details about MLK there is an awesome podcast that just came out called The MLK Tapes that does a deep dive on his assassination and all the cover ups and weird goings on surrounding it
nothing to do with his heavy drinking
Or the massive amounts of cocaine. One of the two.
I wonder if this would hold up today or if it would get dismissed as professional bs on the part of the coroner like forensic odontology or hair analysis?
