Not only that, I read somewhere that cats will try meowing at different pitches until they find one that humans can’t ignore.
I know mine do.

Mine have learned they just need to appear and I’ll immediately hand out treats.
I knew a deaf family and their cat just mouthed the meowing without making any sound.
Isn’t it known that cats only meow at their mothers and humans? It thought it was uncommon for adult cats to meow at each other. You could extrapolate the reason why cats meow at us is because they think we are their mother, they’re helpless (there’s exceptions) without us. We feed, water and shelter them. They wouldn’t be able to survive without the help of momma.
