TIL That Edna Mode (the supersuit fashion designer) from The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 was voiced by Brad Bird, who also wrote and directed both movies.

Based off of Edith Head, famous costume designer and most awarded woman in Academy history.
I watched the director’s commentary for the first one. If I recall correctly they were trying to cast the role and Brad Bird basically said ‘no this isn’t how I imagined her sounding, I imagined something like THIS’…and then proceeded to realize he could do the voice he was imagining so well that it had to be him. xD
I like also that she is based on an IRL famous costume designer
Thought that said brad pitt for a minute. I was like, well that was unexpected.
