TIL that European trucks are rarely sold in the US was due to a 25% retaliatory tariff (aka the “Chicken Tax”) on European trucks, which was put into place after European countries got together and imposed tariffs on imported chickens from the US.

  1. I worked at a Canadian printer that made boxes for Canadian brand of bras. The boxes were shipped to Mexico where they were filled with bras made in China. Shipped back to Canada and qualified as a Canadian product because the boxes were the most expensive part.
