TIL that every major thing The Beatles did happened in a time span of less than nine years. The band played its first show at The Cavern Club in February 1961, and John Lennon informed the band that he would quit in September 1969.

It was a lot easier to be huge in a hurry as there was a lot less content back then. No one will ever be a big as they were now bc how music is consumed and everything which competes for consumers attention now.
Their albums were all recorded from 63 to 69 too.
