TIL that in 2017, the Purbalingga Religious Court in Indonesia reported that a rise in divorce petitions was caused by husbands being ‘too addicted to pigeon racing’.

What’s the right amount of addicted?
Now what I want to know is whether they were addicted to raising or racing the pigeons.
I’ve known people who kept racing pigeons, and the care of the birds took up a lot of their time. They loved their birds more than they loved most people.
It’s probably saved a few marriages over the years in Scotland (although it’s not as popular as it used to be).
