TIL that John Ratcliffe (the bad guy in Pocahontas) was actually for trading with Native American Indians and was disliked for doing this by his fellow colonists. He was eventually killed by Native Americans though by being skinned alive from the feet up by mussel shells

Never take Disney movies as the real story. Even with fairytales they do clean stuff up and rewrite elements.
