TIL that only 43% of the human body is “human” cells. 57% of all of your bodies are cells from bacteria, viruses, fungi and archaea.

Nice.
Within an animal cell the mitochondria (POWERHOUSE OF THE CELL), is very likely an ancient bacteria.

Friends
I wonder how much of our human body weight/BMI is made up of bacteria, viruses, fungi and archaea?
I have archaea? Woohoo!
This is by number of cells, not weight. You are not a majority bacteria by mass. Misleading
Where? Are they mixed in with my regular cells, clustered somewhere, or are they just chilling in my gut digesting stuff?
Minor correction. Viruses aren’t cells. They need to hijack cells in order to reproduce.
