TIL that Rotten Tomatoes ‘Fresh’ % is not the average score of a movie/show, but just how many critics gave it at least 3/5 stars. So better movies do occasionally have lower Fresh % than worse movies.

Critics score is overrated nowadays anyway. Audience score is a better metric. Critics will get blacklisted of they don’t look favorably upon movies that peddle whatever message is popular in Hollywood at the time.
Audiences know what I like. Critics do not. I always trust the Audience score over the Critics score and I’m rarely disappointed.
You should know that Rotten Tomatoes editorializes their ratings and they should not be given any value whatsoever.
