TIL that South Korea considers all North Koreans to be its own citizens by birth. Therefore any North Korean that defects to South Korea is automatically a citizen of South Korea.

  2. Well thank god, because they first have to survive deflecting from North Korea. It’s not like the citizens can just decide I don’t want to be in North Korea anymore.
