TIL that the Edict of Milan was created in 313 so that Christians and other faiths would be “treated benevolently within the Roman Empire”. When the Christians became the dominant force after the fall of the Roman Empire, they didn’t return the same favor the Jews and Muslims.

The Edict of Milan was three centuries before Islam was even founded; To put that into perspective – the United States isn’t even three centuries old.
Sounds about right.
