Is her last name pronounced “Slayer-ten”? I really hope it is.
I had one of these masks a year or so before Scream came out. My older brother had a similar one, but it was smiling and the eyes were far more sinister. I was upset because I thought he had the far cooler mask and begged him to trade. He refused. Once Scream came out he was begging me to trade. To no one’s surprise I refused.
I don’t know what it is about these masks, but they really scare me and freak me out. I’ve watched much scarier films and don’t bat an eyelid, but Scream – never again!
I always felt I’d seen these masks long before Scream came out.
If you saw the twist in Scream coming you were very sharp.
So in this case art imitates life
And they got the rights to it for crazy cheap if I remember right.
