TIL that the Korean War never ended. Although the fighting between North and South Korea and their respective allies ended in July 1953 when the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed, no peace treaty was ever signed, and the two Koreas are technically still at war, engaged in a frozen conflict.

  1. Since China was NKorea’s ally, and the U.S.A. was SKorea’s ally, that means China and the U.S.A. are still at war.

    (I’m slow at seeing this corollary.)

  2. You didn’t know this before now? We are technically still at war, we just (as a nation) choose to not escalate matters by not sending troops past a certain obligatory imaginary line. We are at an armistice not a treaty. Why do you think the media pops up Korea so often in your life? It’s a real threat, one you should pay attention to…
