TIL that the largest recorded temperature change over a 24 hour period occurred in Loma, Montana in 1972. It was -54 degrees Fahrenheit at 9 AM on January 14th, and 49 degrees Fahrenheit at 8 AM on January 15th. This was an overall rise of 103 degrees Fahrenheit (57.2 degrees Celsius).
