TIL that the Magic Eraser has no chemical solvents in it. Instead it is a special foam with super sharp microscopic edges that basically scrapes off dirt.

Melamine sponges are a lot cheaper when you don’t call them magic erasers. 50 for $15, 100 for $25 on Amazon.
Foamed melamine. Hurray, more microplastics.
You can also make your own by cutting up melamine insulation
