TIL that the sons of Chang and Eng Bunker, who were the origin of the term “Siamese Twins” for conjoined twins, fought on the Confederate side during the US Civil War. Chang’s son Christopher and Eng’s son Stephen both fought as Confederate Cavalrymen, in separate units.
