TIL that the UK company registrar forced a company named ““><SCRIPT SRC=HTTPS://MJT.XSS.HT> LTD” to change its name after realizing that it would trigger a cross-site scripting attack. As a result, the company is now legally known as “THAT COMPANY WHOSE NAME USED TO CONTAIN HTML SCRIPT TAGS LTD”.
