Fun Fact: [Navy Pier](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navy_Pier) in Chicago was named Navy Pier in the 1920s to honor WWI Navy Vets. Despite being on an inland lake, it later actually became a true Navy Pier as the US Navy operated two aircraft carriers from there here to train naval aviators during WWII.
