TIL that there was a plan to assassinate Hitler during a viewing of new winter uniform designs in 1943. The model was going to detonate a suicide bomb hidden in his knapsack. The plan failed because the viewing was cancelled after an Allied air raid destroyed the freight car carrying the uniforms.
