  1. I remember one historian describing him spending his final years blindly groping the walls of his palace, speaking with the ghosts of the people he’d harmed in the past.

    But that was always the problem with George III, is it seems nobody can talk about the guy without impressing their own opinion on what he was about. Those opinions constantly change with time.
