TIL that while Elizabeth Fraser was recording “Teardrop” with Massive Attack, she found out that her boyfriend Jeff Buckley drowned. She now considers this song to be “kind of about him.”

Horribly sad and bittersweet. I’ve always loved the song and been a huge Jeff Buckley fan, it’s interesting when to things intersect, even if it’s a very sad story.
He was described as her friend in the linked article and as her ex-boyfriend elsewhere.
