TIL the worlds first commercial jet airliner, the De Havilland Comet, suffered numerous fatal crashes in the 50’s because the windows were square, among other things. Pressure is concentrated on right angles, which causes metal fatigue.

There was a passenger jet with triangle shaped windows. The corners were rounded because of this.
