Platypus is poisonous too. I saw an interview with a Vietnam vet who’d been shot over there and he said the the platypus venom was so much worse the two can’t be compared. He got stung bringing in a net.

Monotreme just means one hole, they have one “hole” for everything. It doesn’t mean anything about live births or eggs.
Anyone who’s ever watched *Phineas and Ferb* knows this.
