I suppose the only real question here is: was Nero a revolting psychopath douche bag by birth/socialization/choice, or by lead poisoning? (Most common source of lead poisoning of emperors was fermenting wine in lead jugs, due to the added “sweetness” produced by the lead. Lead water source pipes didn’t exactly help either.)
