TIL Zoo´s have an instant kill list in case of a mass escape. At the top of the list is the Chimpanzee, because they are known to hunt other primates.

  1. IMO, it would be fairer to say that well-run zoos have a range of contingency plans for emergency situations. In some extreme scenarios, the least bad option is to kill the animals most likely to escape zoo grounds, harm humans, and evade recapture.
