Today I learned there are Hippos living in Colombia (South America) thanks to drug king pin Pablo Escobar.

  1. With the Million of dollars Pablo Escobar made selling drugs he planned to build one of the worlds largest Zoos in Colombia. After he died the 4 hippos he’d illegaly brought to colombia escaped into the wild. There are now bettwen 70-100 wild hippos roaming the Colombia rivers and lakes. As an invasive species scientiests are trying to figure out what to do with them, however the locals seems to accept them as neighbors.
