Well, I’d have to say the Battle of Thermopylae. Not only were the 300 Spartans outnumbered by the Persian army, but they also knew that any victory would be a temporary one. But they continued to fight and ultimately gave their lives for freedom, making them some of the most legendary warriors in history.
